you are my sunshine
I love these! These (and much, much more) are made by a local artist Jessica Swift. Completely simple, smart, and uplifting! I want some for my own house or to give them as gifts for sure. You can find more of her art here.

dining a lil' vintage style

Don't you just love this room? So simple but it works. I especially like the huge wall of chalkboard!

kitchen a lil' vintage style
Very back to the basics, so basic, but there's something about this kitchen that takes me back to my great grandmother's - functional and simple and gets the job done! I really appreciate all that light, the old painted floors, and the open wood truss ceilings. Vintage inspired indeed.
Nice, open, airy, and simple - I'd hang out in there.
Small kitchens can be functional.
I always like kitchens that incorporate what you use everyday (even on the counters) in the design. If you know you'll use certain things all the time, no use in hiding them in your cabinets (how functional is that?) ... just think about unique ways to display tastefully and what works for you.
I know this isn't "kitchen" but I can totally see this style being made into a kitchen island!
This kitchen is a little more classic - but it is nice! And those green pendants have me envious! Just the right punch.

open shelving for the kitchen
I've been dreaming about a kitchen that is long with a big island and lots of open shelving. I'd pile in a mixture of white dishes stacked, glass jars full of kitchen goodies, pots hanging, and open functional shelving to put it all on. I'll probably most many pictures of open shelving since I'm a little obsessed. Maybe you are too?
These floors are just cool.
This feels homey like I need to be in there cooking up a dinner for family and friends.

kitchen organization
Vintage inspired and unique ways to organize in your kitchen...I'm in love. I have to say, I've been bringing back the glass jars for awhile now and there's just something about the utility (and simple beauty) of these things!
Each of my grandmothers gave me one of these old blue tinted Ball jars and the cool metal lids - I love them. I keep coffee in one of my them (along with a clear little jar for the sugar!) and the other I use a vase around the house. I treasure these glass jars. Now, I just need to find some more ...
I'm jealous of this pantry. Talk about simplified!
Cool and classic.
The pegboard - so easy to use for many things in the kitchen or any other room. You could organize about anything with these. The hanging baskets are a nice touch.
Drooling ... I just love the old metals and simple functional style.
Look at the color blue this is ... please can I get one?
I've obsessed over finding something like this forever. Don't know what it is but this is just cool. I saw this listed for sale on Etsy. Just search for "spice rack" and many options come up. And if you haven't heard of Etsy yet, you are missing out! A community that supports and encourages "Buy, Sell, and Live Homemade. So, so many great, talented artists and crafters out there!
